Frequently Asked Questions

Everything hotels, Airbnb hosts, and facility managers ask before ordering.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. You can order as little as 1 unit of any product. We built the store this way on purpose — an Airbnb host stocking a single room and a hotel chain restocking 200 rooms should both be able to order without friction.

That said, the more you order, the lower your cost per unit. Bulk pricing tiers apply automatically at checkout.

Can I try a sample before placing a bulk order?

Yes — and we recommend it for first-time buyers. Order a single unit of any product at the regular per-unit price, test it through a wash cycle, check the feel and fit. If it works for your property, scale up from there.

There are no sample surcharges. You pay the same per-unit price as any other order.

How do I place a bulk or wholesale order?

You can order directly through the website — add the quantity you need and bulk pricing applies automatically. For large orders, custom sizing, or private label requests, contact us and we'll set up a dedicated account for your property or business.

Do you offer custom branding or private label?

Yes. We offer logo embroidery on towels and custom packaging for hospitality businesses that want their linen to carry their brand. Minimum quantities apply for custom orders — contact us to discuss your requirements.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PayPal. All transactions are processed securely through Shopify Payments. For large wholesale orders, contact us to discuss invoicing options.

How long does shipping take across Canada?

Orders are processed and ship within 1–2 business days. Delivery typically arrives within 5–7 business days nationwide. Remote or rural areas may take slightly longer.

You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

When does free shipping apply?

Free shipping applies to all orders over $125 CAD. Orders below that threshold will have shipping calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight.

Do you ship outside Canada?

Currently we ship within Canada only. International shipping is not available through the online store. If you're a US-based buyer or international operator interested in placing a large order, contact us directly to discuss options.

Can I track my order?

Yes. A tracking link is emailed to you as soon as your order ships. If you haven't received a shipping confirmation within 2 business days of ordering, check your spam folder or contact us at hello@qatancanada.com.

What does 500 GSM mean — and why does it matter?

GSM stands for Grams per Square Meter. It measures how dense a towel's fabric is. The higher the number, the heavier, thicker, and more absorbent the towel.

  • 300–400 GSM Lightweight and fast-drying. Common in budget hotels and gyms.
  • 400–500 GSM Balanced weight. Good absorbency, handles commercial washing well. Our towels sit here.
  • 600–700 GSM Plush and luxurious. Ideal for spas and premium properties.

At 500 GSM, our towels are noticeably denser than the 350–380 GSM towels many economy suppliers stock. Guests feel the difference — and it shows up in reviews.

Why do your sheets use microfibre and your towels use 100% cotton?

The two materials suit different jobs. Towels need to absorb water — cotton does this far better than microfibre. For sheets, microfibre is an excellent commercial choice: it dries faster than cotton (important for high-turnover properties), resists wrinkles, and holds its shape through repeated machine washing.

Cotton sheets feel softer and breathe better, but take longer to launder. If you need 100% cotton bedding for your property, contact us to discuss options.

What mattress sizes do your protectors and encasements fit?

Our waterproof zippered encasements are available in 10 sizes: S.Twin, Twin, Twin XL, S.Full, Full, S.Queen, Queen, S.King, King, and Cal King. Each size comes in different pocket depths (+10", +12", +15") to match different mattress thicknesses.

Quick rule: if your mattress is close to the boundary of two pocket depths, go deeper. A protector that's slightly too deep still zips and works correctly. One that's too shallow won't close fully — which breaks the waterproof seal.

What's the difference between a mattress encasement and a mattress protector?

A mattress protector covers the top surface — and sometimes the sides — of your mattress. A mattress encasement wraps all 6 sides and seals completely with a locking perimeter zipper.

For spill protection only, a protector is fine. For bed bug prevention, allergen control, or full coverage in healthcare or long-term care settings, only a zippered encasement closes off every entry point. We sell both — choose based on your actual needs and environment.

What colours are available?

Most of our core products — towels, sheets, mattress protectors, pillow protectors — come in white only. White is the standard in hospitality: it launders with bleach when needed, shows cleanliness clearly to guests, and photographs well for listing images.

Our Floral Quilt Bedspread Set is the exception, available in 8 colours: Burgundy, Cream, Emerald, Grey, Navy, Ochre, Rust, and White.

Are your products certified safe for healthcare or LTC use?

For specific certification documentation on individual products — including OEKO-TEX or similar — please contact us directly at hello@qatancanada.com. We can provide available documentation to support healthcare and LTC procurement requirements.

How does bulk pricing work?

Discounts apply automatically at checkout when your cart quantity reaches a threshold. No discount codes needed:

  • 5+ units 5% off your order
  • 10+ units 10% off your order
  • 20+ units 20% off your order

For very large commercial orders or custom pricing contracts, contact us directly to discuss what works for your volume.

Do I need a business account to access wholesale pricing?

No. You don't need to apply for a trade account or submit business documents to access bulk pricing. Anyone — a solo Airbnb host or a hotel procurement manager — can order in quantity and receive the discount automatically at checkout.

For formal wholesale accounts, invoicing, or net payment terms, contact us to set that up.

Is there a discount for new wholesale buyers?

Yes. New wholesale and trade customers enjoy 5% off their first order. Get in touch through our contact page before placing your first order to claim it.

How many wash cycles can your products handle?

Our products are built for commercial laundry environments — repeated machine washing at scale, not just occasional home use. Our 500 GSM cotton towels are designed to stay absorbent and soft through heavy rotation. Mattress encasements maintain their waterproof barrier through repeated commercial wash cycles.

For specific durability documentation to support a procurement decision, contact us at hello@qatancanada.com.

How should I wash the towels for best results?

Machine wash warm. Tumble dry on medium heat. Avoid fabric softener — it coats cotton fibres and reduces absorbency over time. The towels will actually get softer with each wash as the cotton fibres relax, which is the opposite of what happens with synthetic blends.

For commercial settings with heavy-duty laundry equipment: our 100% cotton towels tolerate standard commercial wash temperatures and cycles without degrading.

How do I care for the microfibre sheets?

Machine wash cold or warm. Tumble dry low. Microfibre dries significantly faster than cotton — in commercial settings this means sheets return to rotation faster, which is a key advantage for high-turnover properties. No ironing needed; microfibre naturally resists wrinkles.

Avoid high heat in the dryer — it can damage the fibres over time and reduce softness.

How do I wash mattress protectors and encasements?

Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. The waterproof membrane is embedded in the fabric — high heat weakens it over time. Cold wash and low-heat drying keeps the barrier intact through repeated laundry cycles.

For the zippered encasement: close the zipper fully before washing to prevent it snagging other items in the drum.

How often should I replace towels and linens in a hotel or rental property?

A useful industry benchmark: towels going through daily commercial laundry typically last 1–2 years before quality noticeably drops. Sheets last 1–3 years depending on fabric type, thread count, and laundry frequency.

Signs it's time to restock: fraying edges, thinning fabric, permanent staining, or towels that no longer feel absorbent after washing. Our bulk packs and wholesale pricing are designed to make restocking straightforward without overspending.
